Common and widespread in wet eucalypt forests and in fern gullies from sea level to moderate altitudes.

General Notes
Timber, when large enough was formerly esteemed for cabinet making, inlays etc. Burrs often occur on the trunks near the base and these may be cut into figured veneers.Resistant to Phytophthora cinnamomi. Not suitable below powerlines.
