12-35 flowers with hairy stalks produced on erect, stout flower stems. Petals white and less than 1mm long, anthers crimson. Fruits 3.5-6cm long.

Perennial rosette herb with a taproot. Leaves 2.5-20cm long, and 1-3cm wide.

General Notes
Propagate from seed. From the same family as parsley, fennel, dill, coriander, cumin and caraway. Has a thick taproot which can be eaten like parsnip, and the aromatic leaves and seeds may be used for flavouring food. Suitable below powerlines.
