One or two pale pink, four-lobed flowers, with yellow or white throats.

Tiny annual herb with an erect, thread-like flowering stem and few narrow, spoon-shaped leaves on the base of the stem.

In wet heaths on the islands of the Bass Strait. 

 

 

 

Plant in a pot of peat moss, keep wet and situate in well-lit position. Some species may grow faster if kept partly submerged in 5mm of water. Do not allow moss to grow as the seedlings will be smothered. It has been recommended that the flowers be hand pollinated when grown in cultivation, to ensure viable seed for the next growing year. Also grown by division. Utricularia tenella flowers can be distingushed from other Utricularia species by the four sepals on the flowers (other species only have two sepals). Suitable below powerlines.
