Seed Information
Seed Collection
Stalks have egg-shaped capsules in spikes, which turn brown when ripe, and contain 2-3 hard, cream, orange, brown or reddish seeds. Seed is shed soon after maturity. Cut stalks with secateurs and place upside down in a paper bag- the seeds are easier to extract when the capsules are still attaches to the stalks. If necessary, rub between hands or against wire screens to dislodge the seed.
