Numerous, white or pinkish or white blotched with pink, 10 stamens, variable in size 8-15mm

Small cup-like capsules turn from green to pale brown when ripe and open to release seed by 2-3 valves. fruits are not persistent . seed is difficult to collect but easy to grow

Surface sow.*May be successful for direct seeding. **Seed is best sown fresh but can be stored for several years with reasonable results. Capillary watering may be helpful due to the fine seed.

Fairly easy to propagate from cuttings, using half-hardened wood. Responds well to pruning but liable to die suddenly. Best results seem to be achieved by planting out in built up sand and full sun.
