General Notes
Grown from seed or by division. Seed germinates quickly and has good viability. Suitable for direct seeding. Fast-growing grass, tolerates a wide range of conditions and is an important food source for grazing animals. Suitable below powerlines.

Seed Collection
When mature, the seedheads become wiry or bristly, and seed releases easily. Collect by running hands upwards along seedhead, rub between 2 sheets of corrugated rubber or cut whole seedhead with secateurs and extract seed later.
