General Notes
Propagates easily by division or seed. Dry heat treatment (55 degrees C for 15 minutes) may increase germination. Carex has been used successfully for direct seeding. Very hardy, not invasive. Suitable below powerlines.

Seed Information
Seed Collection
Seeds are oval nuts, light to very dark brown and 1.5-2mm long, released within 3-14 days of seed maturity. Cut stalks with secateurs to collect, place upside down in a bag to dry, rub between hands to extract all seed and sieve to clean.
