General Notes
In the marine environment, the developing seedling remains attached to the parent plant for up to 12 months, until it breaks away and floats, submerged, and anchors to a substrate. Amphibolus antarctica is best propagated by division into pots of silty soil, which allows the plants to be anchored when planting out. It is an important habitat plant. Tolerant of high salinity levels. Suitable below powerlines.
