Habitat Notes
Local near Tunnack and Strickland at 300-600m. In natural stands on poor mudstone soils in ill-drained situations this species seldom attains tree height or develops adult leaves.

General Notes

6-8 weeks to pricking out.Will germinate best after stratification at 3-5oC for 3 weeks. Although not as successful as stratification, treatment of seed with gibberallic acid or a 15 per cent solution of potassium nitrate for 48 hours can overcome the need for cold storage.
