2cm long funnel-shaped cream or white flowers with broad lobes, streaked with red in the throat, and often with purple or crimson spots at the base of the larger lobes. The throat is bearded inside.

Hairless, fast-growing, climbing shrub with twining branchlets. Leaves are opposite with a glossy upper surface, 5-20cm long and variable in shape and size.

General Notes
Propagate from cuttings or seed. Fresh seed is best, but some growers have had limited success with this species. Extremely vigorous, and often found scrambling through large trees. Prefers well-composted soil, good for features or screens for fences and trellises. Not suitable below powerlines.

Flat seeds surrounded by a broad, transparent wing develop inside a 4-7cm long, pod-like woody capsule. Capsule turns from green to yellow and mottled with brown, and release the winged, red-brown seed at maturity.
