Habitat Notes
Occurs in slow-moving sections of running water and also in still waters on the Central Plateau and in Cradle Mt./ L. St. Clair N.P. Frequently occurs with I. gunnii. The two may grow together in communal clumps. I. humilior is distinguished by being smaller in all parts & has a veil covering the sporangia.
