Tas. endemic.Local in the south and south-east from sea level to c800m.In scrub and forest on poorly drained ground , usually on dolerite hills. *Isolated small stands in wet Eucalypt forest.

General Notes
The dense silvery canopy extends almost to ground level. Ideal for screen or windbreak. Unfortunately very susceptible to leaf-eating insects. Not suitable below powerlines.
