Habitat Notes
Widespread and abundant in rainforest, wet sclerophyll forest and fern gullies from sea level to 650m. Favours overhanging or vertical substrates and, is the first filmy fern to colonise root buttresses, logs and stumps in disturbed forests.

Propagate by division. It is best grown on a slab of tree-fern fibre in a bottle, terrarium or aquarium. Dries out very quickly if removed from a constantly damp habitat.
