General Notes
Elliott and Jones describes the flowers as yellow and white, Kirkpatrick desribes them as purple and white, perhaps there is some confusion re. classification. In cultivation it will need moist but well drained, acid to neutral soils with plenty of organic matter and a sunny situation. Flowers well during summer as a container plant when pots are placed on capillary matting to maintain moisture supply or when pots are buried in moist, coarse sand. Suitable below powerlines.
