Habitat Notes
Local on banks of St. Pauls, Apsley and South Esk Rivers.Fire sensitive and largely confined to riverine scrub and woodland in the central east of the state. Likes dry sandy soils.

General Notes
Fire sensitive. Resistant to wildlife browsing due to its unpalatability. This species can be varied in form, mostly growing as a tight columnar tree but will occasionally spread. Not suitable below powerlines.

Cones open with drying and seed is cleaned with sieves. Store in an airtight container at 3-5oC Use fresh seed. Stratification for 2-4 weeks at 2-4oC may be useful with some species. Best sown in cooler weather. Generally seed has moderate viability. Cover with 5mm seed raising media.
